They sure throw around a lot of numbers, how true are they? There is one set of numbers there that I do not see, that is how many people and families will have the choice of getting FINED for not getting Health Insurance to keep a roof over their head and food on their table, or buying Insurance and losing that roof and food to go live on the street or in a shelter, take your pick, which way do you want it, Home or Street, I don’t think you really have a choice, which ever way you choose will be wrong, will lead to bankruptcy eventually.
Welcome to death by the NUMBERS, TAXES, FINES or Starvation, ether way they will get all your money, by the number.
I have not seen any statistics on that, DO they not think that is not going to happen, if that is the case, then they are very raped up in their own Wages and Perks that most American people won’t get and will never see, all because of NINCOMPOOP decisions made by the greedy Politicians and Rich who have now become Dictators of this Country, and saying who is going to live and work or die, I think that is DIE so they can bring in more people from other Countries to work for less pay.
From the why I see it, it is just another Scam on the American people like Taxes, with Fines and Penalties that they are exempt from, just to pay for more Government Workers with outrageous wages and perks while the rest of Americans live in fear every day of losing every thing that they have worked for, that even means their JOBS.
NO Government Agency cares about the American people, American people are nothing but free money any time they want it by raising TAXES, and a free pay check and with all their perks, if they did care, they would have more respect for Legal Americans Citizens and stop TAXING jobs out of this Country.
That health care law, by the numbers
By CALVIN WOODWARD

WASHINGTON (AP) — The government churns out tons of numbers, but here’s one you won’t see: 0.0002. That’s the percentage of estimated online visitors to healthcare.gov who actually signed up for coverage the first day.
Not all the figures associated with the rollout of President Barack Obama’s health care law are so ridiculously dreary. Three million tells a happier tale, too. That’s how many young adults have been able to get coverage under their parents’ plan thanks to the law’s rule that people up to age 26 can do so.
A look at the heath care law’s early going, by the numbers:
OBAMACARE, BY ANOTHER NAME, SMELLS SWEETER
81: Percentage of young Democrats who approve of the Affordable Care Act, according to December poll by Harvard’s Institute of Politics.
58: Percentage of young Democrats who approve of “Obamacare,” which is the same thing.
PROBLEM SOLVED? NOT ENTIRELY.
55 million: Estimated number of uninsured in America.
31 million: Remaining number of uninsured in America in 2016, when most of the law’s provisions have taken hold, according to federal projections.
89: Percentage of all residents expected to have health insurance in 2016.
91: Percentage of all residents, excluding people living in the country illegally, expected to have health insurance in 2016.
14: States that set up their own health insurance exchanges. District of Columbia also has its own exchange.
36: States that refused, leaving the federal government to do it.
WHO’S IN? PART TWO.
25: States that are expanding Medicaid to more people under the health care law, along with the District of Columbia.
19: States that refused.
6: States that haven’t decided.
100: Percentage of the cost of the state Medicaid expansion being paid by Washington for three years, then dropping to 90 percent.
WHO’S IN? PART THREE
1 million: People who had signed up for private coverage under the federal health law by Dec. 20, up from 364,682 three weeks earlier.
1.2 million: People the administration originally projected would sign up for private coverage under the law, as of Nov. 30.
227,478: People who had signed up through the 14 state-run exchanges as of Nov. 30.
137,204: People who had signed up through the federally run exchanges operating in 36 states by that same date.
THIS IS PROGRESS?
65: Percentage of people who reported in early October that they had failed when they tried to buy insurance through the health exchanges, according to an AP-GfK poll.
51: Percentage of people who reported in early December that they had failed when trying to buy from the exchanges, according to another AP-GfK poll.
A NEW FISCAL CLIFF?
$95: Fine for an adult who goes without health insurance in 2014, or 1 percent of taxable income, if greater. Maximum $285 penalty per family.
$695: Fine for an adult going without health insurance in 2016, or 2.5 percent of taxable income. Up to $2,085 per family.
6 million: The number of people who could be fined in 2016 for going without insurance, according to federal researchers.
$46,000: Individuals earning up to this amount should qualify for some level of subsidy to buy private insurance. Same for a family of four earning up to $94,200.
$328: Average estimated monthly premium, before any subsidies, for a mid-range silver plan that covers 70 percent of medical costs.
$516: Estimated cost of that plan in Wyoming. Prices vary widely depending on where you live and other factors.
$6,350: The most anyone with an individual plan (whether bronze, silver, gold or platinum) will have to pay for medical care in a year, on top of premiums. Family out-of-pocket expenses are capped at $12,700.
3 million: Number of young adults up to age 26 who have stayed on their parents’ health plans under the law.
4 million-plus: People whose individual plans were canceled because the plans didn’t measure up under the law. The government changed rules to allow substandard plans to exist for another year; it’s not known how many canceled policies will be revived. Another rules change allowed cancellation victims to sign up for bare-bones catastrophic coverage.
39.1 million: Visitors to state and federal health insurance web sites as of Nov. 30.
880,000: Visitors to the federal website on Dec. 24, the last day to enroll for coverage effective Jan. 1. The site was able to support 83,000 simultaneous users on Dec. 23, its peak day.
7 million: People expected to sign up by the end of open enrollment season March 31, according to administration’s original projections.
$677 million: Set aside for spending on technology through the end of October 2013.
$109 million: Estimated 10-year hit to the federal budget if the law were repealed.

Just some comments of over 700 or more if you like read the comments:
Synical1: Just one question – What is the source of these numbers? I ask because, quite frankly, they just don’t jive with what the CBO has reported in their most recent update. And, one VERY important number calvin left off the list – the gross cost of nearly $1.8 trillion dollars – which is nearly double the original cost estimate. Finally, Steffie Woolhandler, a professor at City University of New York and a visiting professor of medicine at Harvard, noted “Many people believe that Obamacare will cover everyone. But the reform is so deeply flawed that 30 million or more will still be uninsured after it’s fully implemented”. Doing some simple math, this means the Taxpayers will be paying significantly more than $9,600 per person per year to provide some of America’s uninsured with insurance coverage. Yet this law is supposed to be “affordable” !?!? HA!
wacko: This is so wrong, an absolutely backwards approach to fixing the economy. The last two decades both parties have been waving the banner to sending good jobs overseas and rewarding big corporations for doing so. Then replacing lost jobs with poor retail opportunities and now unaffordable insurance.
It’s the Economy Stupid. Fix that by creating opportunities for higher paying jobs. Do away with welfare as we know it. Make every able bodied person work. $$$ in hand should be earned or is has no value. It merely devalues those who earned theirs. Obama is king of the welfare state nothing more. He signs laws that in no way effect him. He signs into law lifetime benefits to his security but cuts our troops. He needs to go as well as his gang or supporters in congress. It’s the Economy Stupid
The key number to me was the amount of young people staying on their parents plans. This is a key part of this healthcare law. They need those young people to sign up and pay premiums in order to keep the risk pool stable. Otherwise, next years premiums are going to sky-rocket, which I project, and which I believe democrats also believe. Otherwise why would they ask the insurance companies not to release the new premiums until 2 weeks after the November elections when those figures will be established by the insurance companies no later than mid-summer?
Ruuning Bear: Include this…So the undocumented are not afraid to sign up for emergency Medicaid to have their children. They’re not afraid to show up at the hospital with no insurance to get treatment. They’re not afraid to sign up for SNAP, housing vouchers, Chip, and enroll their kids in school. They aren’t afraid to apply for $1000 child tax credits for their children with their ITIN (even to the point of applying for ITINs for children still left behind in Mexico). They aren’t afraid to gather in parking lots to wait for construction jobs. But for some magical reason, Latino citizens are concerned that if they sign up, their relative (whom the government doesn’t even know about) will be deported if they comply with the law??? Maybe the larger problem is that Latinos tend not to be compliant with laws? They also tend to drive uninsured and run unlicensed (and taxed) businesses. They tend to work for cash and not report the income. Latino small business owners also tend to hire the undocumented at higher rates than other small business owners.
Live Free Or Die Trying: To put it simply, would you pitch money into an insurance scheme which blew up right in your face? Oh that’s right, you’re FORCED to comply or face annual audits from the IRS! They are tied directly to our taxes and finances. Does anyone remember when the IRS unfairly targeted those who belonged to certain political groups? Now picture that, and apply it to our healthcare system. They could say “Hey we own your house” or “hey taxes going up again” or “hey bankruptcy or jail.
Jack: This article points out that the government health care website was a complete failure since only 6 people signed up out of 3 million who viewed the information on the site.
What is it going to take for the officials in government to repeal the ACA?
It seems democrats in particular are determined to force this on the American people despite evidence that most people don’t want it.
Other things to consider:
1) A few people may sign up for now, however how many are going to actually continue making payments every month for years? People are going to figure out how to take advantage of the system such as only buying insurance when they need it.
2) The vast majority of the people signing up are actually young people under 26 who are just getting onto their parents plan. Thus adding to the expense side of the equation while not contributing to the income side. This will increase the costs to the few people that really are forced to pay, i.e. middle class working people.
As usual the government has passed a law to hurt the average working middle-class person. It’s getting to the point where people are going to just stop working. Why bother?
The ACA needs to be repealed as soon as possible.
Kevin: Federalist Papers
On June 5, 1788, Patrick Henry spoke before Virginia’s ratification convention in opposition to the Constitution. Following the Philadelphia Convention, some leading revolutionary figures such as Patrick Henry, Samuel Adams, and Richard Henry Lee publicly opposed the Constitution, a position known as “Anti-Federalism”. Elbridge Gerry wrote the most popular Anti-Federalist tract, “Hon. Mr. Gerry’s Objections”, which went through 46 printings; the essay particularly focused on the lack of a bill of rights in the proposed constitution. Many were concerned that a strong national government was a threat to individual rights and that the President would become a king. Jefferson wrote to Madison advocating a Bill of Rights: “Half a loaf is better than no bread. If we cannot secure all our rights, let us secure what we can.
Shut Up Im Talking: no response at all. I don’t think an Aids patient would need a $367.00 per month plan. Our government has finally gave us the entire shaft. Needless to say I did not opt to purchase any plan and in fact told the rep in the chat box that the government could go suck an egg yoke. Take my income tax. I don’t have any.
Tamster: No matter how you spin this garbage, its a big loser and the citizenry of this country suffer from it. Obama screwed the people of this nation and is to blame and should be held accountable, now the same politicians who supported this garbage are running from it. Now that my HC coverage is less and my premiums are higher, now I have to pay for illegal aliens also? Me and my kids get less, yet I have to pay to provide HC to illegal aliens? This is a crime against the people of this nation! This was a lie from the beginning and will be a lie to the end, from a man who was a phony from the beginning and will always be a phony!
Eviltaxpayer: This law is horrible, why cant you America hating liberals admit that you bit off more than you could chew? Are you happy watching fellow Americans Lose their HC? Does it make you “feel good” that ILLEGAL MEXICANS will now be able to get free $3000 MRI’s? Doesn’t it bother you that the very politicians who forced this bill on us have exempted themselves from it? Do you mind that people who cant have or don’t want kids are paying for someone else’s contraception? Liberals are always so generous with other peoples money-
GEY: 25 lies and broken promises by Obama.
Obama promised 41 times on T/V alone, if ‘YOU LIKE’ your plan & doctor you can keep them ‘PERIOD’, along with all dems, ‘NOT IF THE GOV’T DID NOT LIKE YOUR PLAN, YOU COULD NOT KEEP IT’, in front of AARP he ‘GUARANTEED IT” and save you $2500 a yr.
Even Obama supporter comedian Bill Maher finally gets it too & tells the truth: “Obamacare Passed Only Because Obama Lied” Obama “out right lied” to pass Obamacare. It was a bold face lie.
Jon Stewart Said He “Is Tired of All of Obama’s Obamacare Lies”.
Bottom line, Obama lied, Americans World Class Healthcare System & Economy Died
(.1) “You can keep your current plan”
No keeping Your Doctor? no. Plan? no. Drugs? no Hospital, much higher cost & deducts– so what exactly is it that you liked can you keep?
Fewer choices, higher premiums, more uninsured citizens, remind me again why citizens voted for Obama and Obamacare.
Not Only Lie of the Year, Obama is the all time POTUS who will go down in History as “Liar in Chief.
